If you've decided you want to move, you could be thinking the same as thousands of other homeowners: there's nothing on the market, so you'll wait to put your home up for sale until you find your next one.

If you thought you'd missed the boat for a family move this year, the good news is you've still got time. With the speed of the current market, you can sell your home and be in your new one by the end of the school holidays.

Of all the different things buyers ask for when looking for a home (from the style, to the location, to the price), two things transcend everything: light and space.

Sellers aren't selling; buyers can't buy; nobody can move. The property market is stuck!

Is it just us or does January often leave you feeling a little, well, cold?! Not just physically of course (we anxiously await the return of double-digit temperatures), but in terms of your home. With all the Christmas decorations back in their boxes, those new toys and gifts already losing their lustre and a distinct lack of sunshine around, it can leave us looking round our living spaces with a slightly more discerning eye than when they were festooned with tinsel and fairy lights to distract us.

It's the middle of November, and your thoughts are probably turning to putting your feet up for Christmas. But with the new year just six weeks off, it's also natural and exciting to look forward to new beginnings, so what better time to start thinking about your decor for 2022?

It is, as they say, the most wonderful time of the year: but if you’re trying to sell your home over the festive period, should you make any changes to ho-ho-how (sorry) you decorate your space for Christmas? As estate agents, we feel like a modicum of caution is the best approach here – you certainly needn’t be bah humbug and simply ignore the whole season if you’d otherwise love to decorate, but equally, a sense of moderation can be wise, both to avoid over-cluttering your house and also to respect that not everyone celebrates this particular date. However, it’s still definitely a great idea to add some extra magic and sparkle into your home at this dark time of year, not to mention a good excuse to have a little styling fun!

The history of Victorian & Edwardian homes is sadly absent from most property marketing, but the stories of streets add value and interest that we purposely research, capture and portray.
Our descriptions replace corny sales language with insightful & evocative commentary to resonate with people who share an appreciation of beauty, modern materials and period architecture.
Approachability, authenticity and maturity are the very foundations of our business, with a culture of intelligence and respect that sits deliberately apart from typical estate agency stereotypes.
Against sobering national figures that 60% of homes don't sell with the first agent and that 33% of sales fall through, we sell 95% of our listings with more than 90% reaching completion.
